KARACHI: Quetta’s Nahida Khan has been named Pakistan A’s skipper as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Women’s A team for a tour of Sri Lanka.
The team will play three one-dayers and T20 matches each from November 12-24 against Sri Lanka A.
The squad includes Nahida Khan (captain), Umaima Sohail, Fariha Mahmood, Hafza Amjad, Sana Taj, Kainat Hafeez, Muneeba Ali, Sidra Nawaz, Sana Gulzar, Nashra Sindhu, Sadia Yousaf, Aiman Anwer, Kainat Imtiaz and Waheeda Akhter, while the reserves include Maham Tariq and Norina Khalil.

Tahir Mahmood has been named the coach, and Naze Alam Sherazi will be the manager.
The team will reach Sri Lanka on November 13 and will return on the 25th.
Senior player Sadia, whose has played 41 ODIs and 38 T20Is in her career so far, said she is looking forward to the tour as her aim is make a comeback in the national side. “It’s a good chance to perform well against Sri Lanka A and reclaim my spot in the national side,” Sadia, who has 57 and 42 wickets in ODIs and T20Is respectively, told The Express Tribune.
She added that ‘A’ tours are a good opportunity for upcoming players as well. “Series likes these will allow the PCB to have a good second-string side and ready backup to replace those in the national side if the need arises,” said Sadia.
