MARDA: One person was shot dead while a female polio worker and police officer were injured when a vaccination team was attacked in Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa’s Mardan district on Tuesday, Express News reported.
Unidentified assailants opened fire at a polio vaccination team in Tambolak area of Mardan district, leaving one female worker injured.

Police personnel present at the site were also fired at but were intercepted by a second team of police personnel who opened fire on the assailants.

As a result of the firing one police constable was injured while one of the assailants was killed.
