Karachi: The homegrown Aadat singer is back in Bollywood to set hearts ablaze with his new release.
After a break of a year and a half Atif Aslam is ready to start recording hits in the Indian film industry. While Ankit Tiwari and Arjit Singh have taken up top places of playback singers with their hit tracks, Atif Aslam confidently reclaims his place in Bollywood. “Arjit and Ankit are good, but not enough to replace me. They still cover my songs and perform my Bollywood hits at their concerts. I take pride in it,” said Atif Aslam in an interview with The Express Tribune.

Atif is psyched to release his single in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series; his new song Zindagi Aa Raha Hu Mein is his first collaboration with the India’s no.1 music label. “I have recorded the song already and we’ll be shooting the video soon,” informed the Jalpari star.
The video choreographed by Ahmad Khan will feature Heropanti star Tiger Sheroff alongside the singer himself. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted a picture of Atif Aslam, Tiger Sheroff, Ahmed Khan and Bhushan Kumar, breaking the news of the forthcoming project. The song titled Zindagi Aa Raha Hu Mein is about happiness, life, encouragement and positivity – a message directed to the youth of today.

The native singer flew to Karachi to perform for his fans at Bahria Town on Saturday, 21st March. His notoriously charming voice captivated the crowd as he sang his all-time hit songs which we all have committed to memory. Before he hit the stage Atif remarked, “I am performing in Karachi after quite some time, and I am expecting some great crowd tonight.”
Atif Aslam last released his music album Meri Kahani in 2008, since then he’s been doing Bollywood projects and singles and has appeared in 3 seasons of Coke Studio. Speaking of his Bollywood projects, Atif said he’s focusing on releasing singles, “There are a few scripts offered, but I don’t want to consider them. I want to revive my music for now.” However, Atif has not completely ruled out the idea of releasing his music album, “I’ll be releasing an album by the end of this year, but that’ll be one song at a time. I don’t want to put 10 songs up at once.”
In a recent visit to India, Atif Aslam stole the show at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards performing an impressive mash up of his hit Bollywood tracks. The GIMA Awards were attended by musical legends of India including Zakir Hussain, A.R. Rehman, Sonu Nigam and the likes. “Performing in front of legends like Zakir Hussain was a moment of pride for me. It’s good to be surrounded by musical legends and be appreciated for your work,” said Atif gleefully.

Answering to what inspires him in making music, Atif said for now it’s all about his baby boy, Ahad. “He inspires me to make music. Since being a father I have actually gotten back to who I was.” Atif Aslam was on a year’s break following the birth of his son in March last year. Sharing the pleasures of fatherhood, Atif remarked, “I was not innocent at all, I see my innocence in Ahad.”
