KARACHI:
The entrance to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) remained inundated with rain water till Saturday afternoon after the downpour.
A patient, Ghulam Nabi, said that the entire Rafique Shaheed Road, which leads to the three main hospitals of Karachi, was covered with water and officials have done nothing to solve the problem. However, the situation inside the hospitals’ premises is quite different since there is no water standing there, he added.
The entrance to Civil hospital also painted a same picture, where the rain water and sewage had mixed together leaving the patients in a miserable condition. Blocks were placed outside the emergency gate for the patients and attendants to enter.
