ISLAMABAD: Locals and passers-by on Sunday caught a purse snatcher red-handed and handed him over to the police. Police said the suspect was also tortured by the people before the police arrived and arrested him Ghauri Town phase 4-A. Koral SHO Abdul Majeed told The Express Tribune that suspect, who was around 21 years old had been tortured by the people. Majeed said a case had not been registered yet. “The suspect is in police custody and we are investigating the matter,” said the SHO. A Ghauri Town resident said the family whose purse the suspect tried to snatch refused to become complainant in the case.
