ISLAMABAD:
The city administration has decided to monitor the venue and surrounding areas where the Pakistan Day parade will take place with the help of CCTV cameras, it emerged on Wednesday.
Over two dozen cameras would be installed at and around the parade venue and NADRA has been asked to conduct a ground survey, said an official of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration.
The official informed that cameras would cover a radius of five kilometres but clarified that basically the March 23 parade was the army’s event and the administration would provide assistance in all matters.
The police said a three-tier security perimeter would be formed around the venue.
