ISLAMABAD: A woman was looted and a house was burgled within the Sihala police limits during the last 24 hours. In the first incident, Khalid Aftab lodged a complaint with the local police that three robbers intercepted his wife on a road in Model Town Humak and snatched jewellery, a cell phone and other valuables worth over Rs50,000. Meanwhile, Farooq Ahmed, a resident of Defence Housing Authority, lodged a complaint with police that thieves robbed his house while his family was out and made off with cash, prize bonds and other valuables worth Rs200,000. The police registered separate cases but have made no arrests or recoveries yet.
