LAHORE:

Gynaecology ward of the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has been equipped with modern facilities, Post Graduate Medical Institute and LGH Principal Khalid Mahmood said on Sunday.

“The building has been renovated and the number of beds doubled,” he told the media during his visit to the facility. He said the ward had been upgraded at a cost of Rs15 million. The funds had been given by the Pakistan Welfare Society and some philanthropists.

Mahmood said the facilities at the ward matched any modern private hospital. “A kitchen, a lavatory and sitting area for attendants and visitors are part of the facility,” he said. He said he hoped that philanthropists would continue to cooperate with the LGH. LGH Medical Superintendent Niaz Ahmed was also present.
