LAHORE:

Lawrence Gardens staff killed a 10-feet-long python on Saturday after it had been sighted.

Wildlife Assistant Director Abdul Shakoor told The Express Tribune that the department would present the body of the snake to a magistrate to obtain permission to stuff the serpent.

“Most pythons found in the monsoon tend to be 10 to 15-feet-long.

This is normal for pythons,” he said.

Shakoor said the serpent had probably crept into the park from a sewage drain. “Lawrence Gardens is extremely old and happens to present a good environment for the snake,” he said.
