Gunfire shots were reportedly heard near Habib University’s campus late on Monday in Karachi’s Peshalwan Goth area, Express News reported.
According to Express News, security forces reached the site, cordoned off the area and a search operation is now underway.

However, spokesperson for Habib University Sibtain Naqvi denied reports of any firing on the campus.
“I am speaking from the campus and I can assure you that no shooting has taken place here. The shooting took place near Rabia City, which is half a kilometre from our campus,” said Naqvi while talking to The Express Tribune.
