A fan tweeted to Rowling asking, perhaps a little sardonically, about the possibility of a Harry Potter-based TV show:
“So like… We had seven books and 8 movies. We are getting a play and 3 spin-off movies. Where is our TV Show,” a follower asked, perhaps a little sarcastically, on Twitter.

Rowling’s response slayed all anticipation, hinting that there were already enough spin-offs in the works.

With her books being the all the rage among her readers it’s hard to believe that there won’t be an expanding franchise leading to a TV show.
A Harry Potter prequel of sorts, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit cinemas next year, starring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, the wizard author of the titular book.
