Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) , Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, passed away on Friday, Express News reported.
Born on April 4 1924, the 91-year-old was elected the president of AJK four times and also as prime minister and leader of the opposition AJK.

Further, Khan was also the supreme leader of the AJK Muslim Conference and played a vital role in 1975 as the facilitator between Pakistan National Alliance and the government of Pakistan.
According to reports, Khan’s funeral prayers will be offered at Rawalpindi’s Racecourse Ground after which his body will be shifted to his native land, Dhirkot where another funeral will be held.
